My experience with counseling for wedding anxiety and other forms of anxiety

Since 2017, I have been helping people manage anxiety, from teens to seniors. When I was a professor, I saw the stress and anxiety my students experienced while planning their weddings and working on their careers, and watched my friends who were planning weddings report the same pre-wedding anxiety.

Everyone experiences a certain amount of anxiety, but some of us suffer more than others. And rarely are we taught how to deal with it effectively. Family members try to help (“Stop worrying. It will be fine”) and this isn’t helpful at all.

Over the years, I have tried various approaches to managing anxiety myself and with others, and I have learned a LOT about what works, what doesn’t, and the variety of options we have to prevent it from taking over our lives. These tools can help you manage your pre-wedding anxiety and enjoy the process of planning with your partner and family again!
